Discover Collingwood Art on the Street 2017

June 1, 2017

Collingwood Art on the Street has returned for a seventh year, celebrating art and artists in downtown Collingwood. Art on the Street is an outdoor gallery of art banners, hand-painted chairs and murals by artists of all ages and styles.

Downtown Collingwood is freshly adorned with the new art pieces from local students and professional artists.  Twenty-four hand-painted Muskoka-style chairs and 42 art banners will create an outdoor public art gallery for residents and visitors to explore until Thanksgiving weekend.

This year’s theme “Collingwood Celebrates Canada” inspired entries related to our community, culture, people and natural surroundings. More than 125 submissions were received and this year 70 artists are featured, almost a third of which are students or emerging artists.

The 2017 edition of the Art on the Street brochure will be available at the Georgian Triangle Tourist Association at the Collingwood Station/Museum and the Parks, Recreation & Culture office, located in the Municipal Offices on the third floor of the Collingwood Public Library.

The Town of Collingwood’s Parks, Recreation & Culture Department and the Collingwood Downtown BIA are proud to collaborate on Collingwood Art on the Street. To download the Art on the Street brochure and others in the Discover Collingwood series, visit
