Milton's loss is Collingwood's gain. The move is complete. Lynda Nixon, owner of Rustic Pear, has moved herself, her business and her life to Collingwood. "Three years ago I told friends that I'm moving my store into that building" said Lynda. Three years later, the Huron Street location has been completely renovated and Lynda's new retail outlet, Rustic Pear North, is open for business in Downtown Collingwood. "It's better to be ahead of the time than behind" said Lynda, realizing that she is at the front of the line in establishing a business in a developing retail district adjacent to the new Shipyards property. Rustic Pear North has designed the newly opened Waterside Model Home at the Shipyards. The model home is stunning, thanks the the creativity of Lynda Nixon.
"We appeal to a variety of customers - locals, tourists, special events ... I can draw from a big area including Milton and Toronto" said Lynda. "Our store is a very friendly store, well merchandised with good pricing, and it's always changing. We've always been known to have a store that people want to bring their friends to" Lynda added. No sooner had Lynda told us that, the front door opened and a lady entered saying that she just had to bring her friend to see the new store.
